First unsolved mystery, is there a season 3 of Only Murders?
Yes indeed! Clearly, the show has been a hit because the streamer renewed it before season 2 was even over. Additionally, last season was nominated for a whopping 12 (!!) Emmys—including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Martin Short specifically—at the 2023 awards ceremony, so again, this renewal is really no surprise.

Who will be in Only Murders in the Building season 3?
The show wouldn’t be the show without the golden trio of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Beyond those three, who knows! This show attracts stellar guest stars—season 1 had Jane Lynch and season 2 had Shirley MacLaine and Cara Delevingne. Plus, Tina Fey has popped up in both seasons. And remember when Nathan Lane was in season 1? Tbh, it kind of feels like anyone could move in to the Arconia at this point...👀
And if you’ve watched the end of season 2, you could probably guess that Paul Rudd will be making some appearances in season 3 as well, considering he's the latest victim du jour. Hopefully we get lots of episodes’ worth of backstory there! Series co-creator John Hoffman told Variety that Paul’s character is “someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming season 3—as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!”

When does Only Murders season 3 premiere? What’s the release date?
While we’d normally wait for a fun teaser trailer or some big reveal for the official release date like previous seasons, Steve Martin and Martin Short decided to skip all that and actually reveal that season 3 of Only Murders in the Building will be released on August 8, 2023. The two comedians made the big announcement at their show in Orlando, according to Variety. Hulu later confirmed the news during Disney’s Upfront Presentation in NYC, TVLine reports.
